Bio

Stefan GHEORGHE was born on the 25th of June 1955 in Doicesti, Dambovita and graduated in the year 1981 the from Faculty of Power Engineering POLITEHNICA University Bucuresti, where he also received a PhD in Power Engineering in 1994.

After graduating, he has worked in the electrical engineering field in Romania, both as an executive and as a manager specializing in the transport, distribution, supply and production of electrical energy.

Since the year 1994 he has held a teaching position at the VALAHIA University of Targoviste, Electrical Engineering Faculty as an associate professor. In 2004 he earned an MBA from the OPEN University Business School in England. As an author and coauthor, Stefan GHEORGHE has published more than 100 scientific works, both in Romania and abroad, spanning from books, lectures and international reports in the field of electrical engineering.

Starting from 1995, he has initiated and organized the biannual National Power Quality Sympozion, which, since 1999, has been traditionaly organized at Targoviste. Since 2001 Stefan has been holding lectures of Electrical Power Quality at the VALAHIA University of Targoviste and has been working as a student advisor for  degree theses. Since 2013 he has held lectures on the topic of Monitoring Power Efficiency and Power Quality at the Politechnics University of Bucharest

He has had contributions in the field of electrical power quality in Romania, by integrating theoretical notions of power quality.
